We invite you to Come Grow With Us.
Santa Rosa Family,
As things progress and are rapidly changing we are doing our best to communicate as quickly as possible. Our parish website is going to be our most up to date source of information.
If you are on our email list and did not recieve the following information we ask that you please check your Spam folder before contacting the office. There is a tab below labeled "Where is my Parish News email?" with a link and steps that you can do on your end to ensure that you recieve future correspondence.
We are praying for you! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out via email or phone and we will return your message as soon as possible.
All Sacraments and Liturgies have returned to our regular schedule.
Because of social distancing you want to consider attending a daily Mass instead.
Our building capacity allows for only 250 attendees. All social distancing protocols currently in effect for Texas will be followed.
These liturgies are simply offered for those who feel they are in little to no risk regarding the virus.
If you feel attending mass will in any way compromise your health or the health of others, per the Bishop of the Diocese of Austin there is currently a dispensation from any obligation to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation while COVID Protocols are in place.
All Masses and events are cancelled Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, February 17-19.
The parish campus is currently dealing with frozen pipes and is also without water and electricity at the moment.
The rest of this week's events have been cancelled. That includes Ash Wednesday, Daily Masses and even the Knights of Columbus Drive-Thru Fish Fry.
The Knights will resume their Drive-Thru Fish Fry next Friday, February 26.
By this point everyone is probably used to receiving their Sunday Bulletin in their inbox on Thursdays.
We are delaying publication as we await important information from the Diocese.
Thank you for your patience as we want to be sure that we give you the correct information.
Santa Rosa Food Pantry and Outreach: $ 4,335.00
Brothers and Sisters,
As we continue this most different of Lenten journeys, we continue to be present to one another in whatever ways we are able.
Of course all parish events continue to be cancelled or postponed with the exception of reconciliations and food pantry.
Reconciliations are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at 6 p.m. and Friday, Saturday at 11 a.m.
Food Pantry information is in our weekly online bulletin.
If you have any other needs or questions you may call the office or Fr. Larry at 512.787.7954.
Many thanks to all who continue to contribute through mail and our new online giving arrangement. There's more information about online giving in the online bulletin.
As we enter Holy Week please join our Bishop Joe Vasquez in the livestream of all the liturgical celebrations of this week and Easter from St. Mary's Cathedral.
Although we pray for everyone at this time, we might remember especially all health care workers and all in essential jobs whose services keep us going at this time.
God bless us all!
- Fr. Larry

I bring your attention to two prayer invitations from the Holy Father this week. On Wednesday at 12:00 noon, Pope Francis is asking all Christians to pray the Lord’s Prayer. He will do so from Rome (CET), and we are called to do the same, either simultaneously with him at 6AM or at 12:00 noon, our time. Here is an explanation from Vatican News:
The Pope also announced that on the following Friday, 27 March, he will preside over a moment of prayer on the sagrato of St Peter’s Basilica, the platform at the top of the steps immediately in front of the façade of the Church. “I invite everyone to participate spiritually through the means of communication”, he said. The Director of the Holy See Press Office confirmed that the moment of prayer on Friday will be broadcast live from the Vatican, beginning at 6 pm Rome time. (12:00 pm CST)
We will be in prayerful solidarity with the Holy Father, asking God’s mercy and healing during this difficult time.
Thank you.
