We profess in the Creed, “For us men and for or salvation, He came down from Heaven.” This “coming down into our lives” is the very basis of our Salvation. 

We can only be redeemed because God himself takes on the initiative. Our calling as God’s people is to participate with God’s initiative. And this coming together of God’s grace and our desire for that grace is where Sacraments occur. 

Sacraments are real moments in time that connect the now to the eternal. They are a share in the fullness of Divine Life for the human person only possible because of God’s gift of Himself to us.
